We understand the frustration you feel not only with the short renewal of #ALOTO, and cancelled shows like Gentleman Jack, First Kill, ODAAT, Motherland Fort Salem (the list goes on and on) but also with every film that didn’t receive distribution or every script/idea you struggle to get made. We are committed to doing everything we can to help change this.

While this change will take time and won’t happen overnight, we are deeply concerned about our community’s mental health amidst the constant campaigning. As a small contribution to your well-being, we want to offer you a 25% lifetime discount and your second month completely free on Lesflicks.

Lesflicks is a dedicated sapphic streaming platform featuring over 280 lesbian and bisexual stories. We believe that watching authentic sapphic stories on screen is essential to seeing ourselves, aspiring to success and happiness. As a lesbian-owned and LGBTQ+ run business, we understand the importance of representation.

Did you know that while we may not have the resources to buy big shows yet, we can still impact funding?

We recently doubled web series Love Me Lex’s funding through Screen Australia. We are currently supporting five other projects to unlock additional funding.

As a platform, we have the ability to provide a central location for our audience to access funding information. By subscribing to our platform, you not only increase our content budget but also demonstrate the existence of a paying audience. This proof carries significant weight amongst investors, funders, and distributors, which could help unlock even more funding in the future.

We are a social enterprise, not a big corporate machine. Despite this, we have built a good working business model and are the only independent streaming platform working with multiple sales agents and distributors. We have the largest catalog of titles and a 100% client satisfaction rate, and we consistently pay above-industry rates.

We currently have 5 projects using our support to unlock more funding. As a platform we can do more than audiences. In the long-term we hope to home these shows, but that is the 10m subscribers+ plan, & we’re not yet at that stage of the timeline.

We have filmmakers who want their content on our platform but we’re not quite big enough for them to get their distributors to agree. We have distributors who want their content on our platform, but we can’t afford the onboarding fees yet (but with just 25,000 subscribers we could in a heartbeat). It doesn’t take much to change things – a little faith and belief in a better world.
